If you are new in the world of mountains and splitboarding, this course is perfect for you. We will go through the basic skills that you will need to safely move in the backcountry terrain. To join the course you must be able to ride in a controlled manner on natural snow in varying but easy terrain.

Learning outcomes:

• Becoming familiar with splitboarding gear

• Learn skinning techniques in backcountry terrain 

• Basic avalanche skills (Finlav 1)

• Reading the weather to find best snow conditions

• Learn and practice route finding and navigation in the field

• Backcountry riding techniques

After the course you should be able to travel and take part in decision-making in simple avalanche terrain.
